"Rise is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I've ever been a part of. In a press release, both Cooper and Perry made the following statements in regards to the creation of Rise: However, three cover songs will featured on the album as a tribute to three different rockers who have since passed (and much too young): David Bowie’s “Heroes” (performed by Depp), Jim Carroll Band’s “People Who Died”, and Johnny Thunders’ “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory” (sung by Joe Perry). Rise is set to be a completely different record from the band’s 2015 debut release, as the majority of the album will be comprised of original material. With this announcement, the band have released a brand new song from the upcoming record, “Who’s Laughing Now”. The highly anticipated album will be available on June 21st via earMUSIC. The Hollywood Vampires, the rock supergroup comprised of Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, actor Johnny Depp, and Alice Cooper, have announced that they’ll be releasing a brand new studio album this June entitled Rise.
